The cart of dreams The fuel of hardships

Inspiration

Annis Abraham.. Auto driver. Film actress. Washes cars at a car servicing center. Also does housework. This eight-facedness is not new to her. It has been a habit since she could imagine. Even though difficulties have been following her footsteps, she has kept the thought of 'suicide' at bay for a lifetime. She wanted to live until death. She is still like that. Not depressed.. Finding joy in everything she does.. Now making her dreams come true!

Annis's hometown is Ernakulam in Kerala. Due to poverty, she started doing chores and studying from the age of twelve. At that age, she would take a bicycle and do papers in the morning. After coming back from school in the evening, she would go to work in houses. That's when the famous director in Malayalam, Thampi Kannanthanam, came to know about this girl. He wanted to give her a role in his film. He gave her a small role in the film 'Janamantharam'. At that time, she was eighteen years old. Later, after getting married, she fell into a life of samsara. New problems befell her in the house of Attarin. Before she could understand her husband's behavior, she had two children. Since her husband did not do any work, she had to carry the burden of samsara there.. She had to do three or four things a day.

She had to do hard work to fuel the dream car.

She found a job washing cars at that time. That's when she put her interest in driving into practice..

She learned to drive. Car.. Auto.. Shooting

When the little girl was three years old.. her husband left them. Her younger brother also came to her house, helpless. Along with the two children, Annisku had to raise her younger brother as a son. At that time, she bought an auto. After gaining some financial stability, she looked for film opportunities. She found one. According to the film schedule, she is planning the remaining work.

From then on, she drives the auto until the shooting time.. goes to shooting. She built a house with a bank loan by working hard. She is also making her dream of acting come true.

How did she get interested in acting?

Since childhood! She used to sing songs in school for national festivals. She used to dance. She used to act in dramas for talent shows. When she was in the third grade, she won the prize for best actress in a drama competition.

She decided to become an actress at the age of twelve. At the age of eighteen, she could not move forward due to marriage. But she did not kill her dream. Now she is continuing like this.. New movie.. ''Pa''

Annis has acted in ten movies so far. Knowing Annis' story, director Nadirshah gave her the role of an auto driver in his film 'Kesu Ee Veedinte Nathan'. She also acted in the film 'Mad Dad' directed by Revathi Varma. In it, Annis played the role of a maid named 'Eliyassamma'. That role gave her an identity. It also brought her fame. Apart from this, she has also acted in films like Thuramukham, Ka, Thottappan, Kappela, Kalappu, Vellam, Thamarakunnile Bhadrapuranam, Street Lights, Chalakudikaran Changathi etc. Another film 'Nifa' is ready for release. In this too, Annis played the role of an auto driver. She is acting in a film directed by Marjina Prakat.

"I have been driving an auto for nine years. My day starts at four in the morning and ends at around ten in the evening. I have been doing this since I can remember. I keep working until I get tired. I have never felt disappointed. I have never cried because of the hardship. There is only one life. The lesson I have learned is to live until I die. That is why I have never thought of suicide. I will never think of it again," says Annis Abraham. Her life is a lesson for those who think of suicide over small problems.
